James Martin lives not far outside Basingstoke. He normally brings one of his car up to the show and popham air field. One year he bought 8 EMO and last year one of his old Ferraris. His cars are so nice!

As I said hes like the head honcho chef thingyamybob at the Talbot Hotel in town plus he comes to the Malton Food Festival every year and does a demo in the square. We've never been because towns mobbed that day and we hate that kind of shizz...but next year I'm gonna pounce

he was having dizzy problems at croft this year and i offered him my dizzy for the duration of the race, he declined, went out and the mini misfired all race.
there was a program a while ago where he wanted to do the mille miglia so went out and blew a fortune on a masseratti. lots of mishaps and didnt complete the race. dont know if he's like that in real life but came across as loads of money but no idea.

In 2009 just after buying the 8 EMO Works Rally Mini James Martin himself joined the MCR forum and started posting under the forum name '8emo'
The thread started a few pages earlier with some unfortunate comments before he made his first post........
