I watched it and loved it. Also saw the Stirling Moss one, which was fab too :-)

I saw James and 8 EMO at Beaulieu a couple of years ago - just brilliant :D.

Seems a very nice guy, shame to hear about Jim Clark and Francois Cevert, seemed every person he became really friendly with was unfortunately killed in an accident...

Saw the little mini for half a second 8). Itd a shame that the presenters really have no idea on actual racijhang her than a car is pretty and sounds nice... James Martin had absolutely no idea on the ways tyres Work etc and was just clueless.. That was a bit of a shame.. Made themselves look really rather silly in front of the best drivers ever.. And moss and jackie knew it as well...

As I child, I only knew about Jackie Stewart as he was dyslexic and my Mum worked for he British Dyslexia Association and he is one of their vice-presidents. Shame I was too bored listening to my Mum harping on about dyslexia to take much interest in what she was saying or else I might have been able to get a sneaky peak at Sir Jackie's collection >_<

I've also watched both episodes, being more of a fan of Sir Stirling Moss I prefered that episode, but both have been excellent viewing. There is to be a third one, but as yet there are no details on the BBC as to who it is about and when it will be shown.

On the subject of James Martins Mini, I'm not sure that he actually owns that race car or not. He has been sharing the car with Andy Harrison in a few historic races and meetings.

This was at the Brands Hatch Mini Festival

Here's 8 EMO, which was purchased at Goodwood in 2009, cutting up the grass at Beaulieu

This is the Ferrari 275 GTB/4, which you can spot next to the 288 GTO in the BBC program. This picture was taken at the 2010 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power

Jackie Stewart's book 'Winning is not Enough' is an excellent read and highly recommended. It is so much more detailed than the short TV programme and is without the 'hype'.

Just had a look through my pictures and I found a couple of Paul Stewart driving the 1973 Tyrrell at Goodwood.

And one of my favourites of Stirling Moss and Dennis Jenkinson in 722, the 1955 Mille Miglia winning Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. This shot is a scan of a picture I took in 1995, the 40th anniversary of that famous victory.

Fab pictures once again Stuart :-)

Sorry to lower the tone a bit especially when you are educating us, but my primary reason for watching the Jackie Stewart programme was for James Martin who I fancy just a teeny weeny bit :D He is very lovely

I'd love a Mini in my kitchen - I might be tempted to venture into it a bit more often and stay there longer in there was a Mini to keep me company
