As a start,  play around with the hinge shims. Ur A panels are not in yet from the look of it so hard to tell if the door needs to go forward.  On mine p53 I think I had to put shims both inside and outside the hinge to get it sitting right,  doors are a pig !! Can you mock up an A panel to see how it all sits??  Is it the door that came with the mini ??

It's the door that came with it yes but the gaps are spot on all round the door the door step is a mile out no amount of door shimming will sort that lol it's top to bottom it's out but cheers graham need this sorted or its up crap creek lol

ok,  how is the fit at the top,  few pics,  might just need a re fit of the doorstep.  Defo not a scrap it job,  everything is sortable,  put up some mor epics of the whole door area.  How is the other side opening/door fit wise??  If the door frame lines up with the new door step piece as it appears t do,  then front to back,  door wise should be ok. Obviously isn't I know.  Did you brace the opening before welding in the new step??

Sorry about the questions,  just trying to see what u have done.

Graham

Yeah was all braced the more I think about it I think the sill is bent and squint lol typical its all welded in now the other door is spot on. I used the inner sill to line up the step so its the only thing that can be wrong

I made the same mistake don't get down about it too much I ended up cutting the step out and redoing it you will find also that the sills and steps will be a banana shape and will need pulling into shape but whatever you do don't loose faith in it we all have those moments of "I don't have the door but it looks strait" the good news is you won't do it again!! Just keep at it move onto something else for now and come back later

Hi Hoody,

Yeah door fits ok! Lol yeah took part of the step out and cut the sill at places and used a puller to lift the sill up half an inch then tacked that in place the re fitted the parts of the step I cut out. Still to fit the outer sill to see what's what should have that done tommorow then finish the boot floor rear valance. Might be tricky as am going bumper less and a few little repairs to do on the rear and quarters

Your doing very well, just one observation, the outer sill needs to sit under the heal-board flange, it's an MOT thingy, ;D
