Ahhhhhhh! damn that's a kick in the nuts.

Best solution i can think of is using a seam and surrounding panel from a donor shell and weld in.

Should be eas enough as long as you do it right, bracing might be a good idea ;)

This was a thought also and a kick in the nuts is an understatement. My lighter and the tin of thinners nearly joined sides lol

:ohno:  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo, Hahaha.

Just a minor setback, im sure you'l recover from it in no time :proud: .

Like i say, best bet is to brace, cut that area out of a scrap shell and weld in place paying close attension to warpage which is really your only worry with such a repair as access is not bad in this area to dress up the backside.

Now that's a nasty supprise!! You can try a bloke on here just bought a shell that he can't repair you might get a section off him or from mini josh in the breaking section bar that you could make a new piece with the seam lip folded in and neatly weld it in place. Sorry to see that though mate

Done a bit more today

IMAG0811_zps6105fcb4.jpg

IMAG0810_zpsa05eca26.jpg

IMAG0809_zps4295494c.jpg

its nearly ready for stone chip lol then the arches can get tubbed then back on its wheels

also might have found a solution to my big hole problem lol as posted on another thread I need this section

need_zps6bbe60a4.jpg

of the pasengers side and found this

40-12-51-1_zps91ea0e90.jpg

now I know they are different but the only bit that troubles me is the to ridges ( bumps ) under the window the smaller panel has these and is only 27.50 inc vat lol not sure on shipping tho so will call tomorow the rest of the hole can be patched with a piece I can make easily. So fingers crossed shipping ain't through the roof of that panel

Harrysmini cut the seams out, that's why the shell is scrap so I doubt it's any use to you

Cheers Pete I did notice this but welding a seam on ain't as hard as producing those curves in the panel lol but hopefully will be sorted soon
