Great work here. Your welding looks great. Lots better than mine! Haha. I have also recently done these same repairs. (Typical minis!) Keep up the good work.

Cheers Joe. I found that if I leave a 1mm gap between the panels then I get a much nicer weld. Also the panels need to be spotless; weldthro paint does not help the weld.

jt19 the video is not me I found it on youtube when I was looking for how to flip my Mini without help.

I have been busy; the rear is now done. Just need to seam seal and another coat of POR15 and then move onto the drivers side half floor, drivers side rear quarter, door frame and A post.

Recent work includes:

Both rear wheel arch tubs.

Boot floor repair.

Rear panel repair.

Rear valance and closures.

Both healboard ends

I will do yours when mine is finished Matt.

Not sure what I will do when I finish this one. There is no room in the garage for another car so the wife will be putting on the pressure to sell the Lotus again.

I vote to build another garage but the wife wants a new kitchen, lounge and bedroom.

build the garage bigger

Listed building so not an easy task. So if I am going to do any building work it has to be one application for house extension and additional garage and be prepared to go to appeal and spend a few quid. Need to save up first.

LOL I wish I could put up a concrete garage. Next door put up a brick garage and because it was next to my house he had to put a slate roof on it.

I too have an RSP in bits. I was tempted to post a thread but after seeing yours I can just cut and paste some of your bits out!! truly looks like the work of a dedicated craftsman; you are right to be proud of your work mate.

Mine is too far removed fro standard to ever return to that state. I like to think of it as being "enhanced".

Are you on the RSP Register? I would love to see some pics of yours :)

Mine was pretty terrible when I picked it up as the previous owner had started cutting it up; time and money can fix most things. LOL
