just gone all the way through this, the joys of being jobless , but yeah that looks ace, i like the slight flair to the body, what you doing on the front end? extended panels? and interior? and cage?
I,m fitting either a grp or carbon fibre clubman front end, and it will fit as standard. It gonna have grp bucket seats and a new homemade dash. But not sure yet what look im going for. I dont want to fit a cage yet though.
Im just thinking one job at a time. best way for me.
Did u ever consider using an mgf? I looked into doing a similar project but using a metro and an mgf, but it never happened lol
Good work though!
Thing with the mgf it rear engined rear drive. Mine front engined rwd:-)
Lots of tuning about for the mx5. And i dont think its been done before on a mini

ive now got the shell mounted on the floor, and i'm slowly working my way around welding the shell to the floor. i started with the sill area,
sill welded
moved rear lamp over
so thats how it stands at the moment, ive opened the shell up at the back by 55mm each side, so the back is 110mm wider than standard, i think it looks good.
i'm needing some new panels for around the back windows and back door step, so i'll have to get some very soon.

I love how simple you have made it look, plonking on a mini shell over a mx5 and instantly giving it an amazing stance!
