When I get to a pooter I'll put the pics on here as I'm in my phone at the mo. Looks amazing though. You drove past me on the way out. Next to the grey estate by the bumper car I am gave you a thumbs up. Looks so mean when it's moving with its low and wide stance

So the number plate is a T reg? I thought it was going to be registered as the MX5?

Maybe took the plate from the estate and transferred it to the MX-5.
I know my dad did that with his pick up. You can do it once and they then give the car you've taken the plate from a new age related plate. Then you do what you like with the other plate (becomes a personalised plate).

Sounds about right :)
Although I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow registered it as a clubman just to stop the police keep pulling him over thinking it's a mini on cloned mx5 plates! digler what's the deal, how have you done it?

as you have kept the chassis , engine , running gear, suspension and steering from the mazda you will need to use the mazdas V5
best thing to do is contact the DVLA (your local office if you have one) and tell them you have swapped the body on a chassis vehicle
you won't need to worry about a BIVA test as you have still scored the 9 points they are looking for the body it's self carries no points
between you and the DVLA you will have to work out what to call the car so there is no confusion
friends that have done this on VW beetles sticking a buggy body on top normally get VW sports or VW convertible on the V5 , what it's best to call this i have no idea
taking the car for a MOT as it is could land you in trouble as soon as they stick it on a ramp they will clearly see it's no mini, with the log book not matching the car
