To be honest, i don't really get it,

The only thing i understand is the color i want is about 6000k, and i need something called a ballast!

are these possible? ive seen a few kits on ebay, one with new Lamps if you search ebay "Classic Mini Super Bright HID Xenon headlamp set" you will see them!

but i have no idea if they are 6000k, anybody have any kits installed or can recommend any? and what price am i looking at ? can i use the original headlamps with ballasts?

Would love something like this....

i wanted HID but i found on here that not legal as stated in the above document. It basically tells you if you want HID you must have a e-marked lens, as the standard lens can cause glare with HID, also you will need self levellers for the lights and headlight cleaners.

Maybe a better idea if we ask what is the best lights that are legal for the mini

I assume h4 - with relays & good battery voltage / charging

I will be looking as my sealed beams aren't IVA compliant apparently :o(

Unless you've got some rediculous voltage drop going on it should be like blackpool illuminations with that many lights. How are they wired?

ring max H4 bulbs 100% zenon gassed bulbs just fit like any other H4 but are much brighter with a whiter light

http://www.ringautom...l.asp?prod=2055

Basically the difference is my dim dip as now as bright as my sealed beams used to be when properly on

Luke, i mean just the headlights i think they are just the old standard lights when i have the spot lights on it is miles better but makes the headlights look pathetic

The spots i wired myself, but the original lights i can only presume they are wired how they are supposed to be untill i take them off and have a look,
maybe it just needs a modern bulb as jim suggests?
