does anybody know anyone who stocks a sports exhaust for a wolseley hornet? i have a home made set up at the moment, which has a stage one minisport manifold but the rest of the pipes are huge stainless steel after the three pipes go into one. the problem is the back half is about 2 1/2" inch pipe and it doesn't do much for the back pressure. it sounds awesome when ticking over, or around town, but it is a bit deafening on the motorway. its painful if your unfortunate enough to be sat in the back! it has a cutout on the n/s of the back valance, so i need one that exits on that side. is it feasible to just use a normal mini one but with an extension pipe just before the backbox? anyone any ideas?

you could try a custom exhaust maker like powerflow or longlife, where you go to a local dealer and they make one for you?

The Hornet is 8.5ins longer than a Mini, so adding an extension piece to the straight pipe of an RC40 exhaust system should do the job. If that does not appeal to you, Maniflow would make up one, which would be just the business.

nice one. i'll give them a go in the new year, when i have recovered from christmas! anyone any suggestions as to which system sounds nicest? i want something a bit throaty, but not too ridiculous at motorway speeds.

If you're on the motorway a lot I'd definitely get a two box system.

Single box sounds gorgeous, but is a bit on the loud side above 50mph

You should just be able to fit a standard saloon system and pop one of these one the back. Clicky

Exactly what I've just bought for my Hornet, a minispares Side exit RC40 and this slip on extension.
