Camber kit and tie rods came also so this will improve handling.

Rear shocks are just done! They are jus rubbish so Alfred wil be gettin new shocks all round :)

The due date is 10th April and its my gf birthday on the 12th and we r goin a spin.

lol I will get a dyno graph up real soon. Still yet to get it. Arches arent on yet. Car will be finished in 1 week. The deadline is the 10th! I will be driving her home then.

He has fitted the lower arms (negative camber) and uprated adjustable tie rods. He has also fitted the solid mounts for the front subframe. The spax shocks will hopefully be here tomorrow so he can put them on also. Then the car will be lower an inch (got Hi Los) as he says it will improve handling. Suspension then just needs setting up. He has a four wheel alignment kit he does all his rally cars with so the car will be perfect.

Then at the end of this week, the sills needs prepped & painted due to surface rust. Then fit arches and shes done!!

Next day Im up to see her, I will get the dyno graph and also take pics of the engine bay. Forgot the last time I was up, ooppsss lol

Chris211083: - How you getting on with your car mate?

A passenger side sunvisor that now stays up!!!! lol

Small issues today. The water temp sender was positioned in bad place with the SC kit as couldnt get bonnet shut correctly as it stuck up too high so had to drill hole in side of metal casing.

We now have bthe suspension set up properly and the difference is UNREAL! The mechanic man/rally car driver took me out a spin and scared the crap out of me flying rounds bends with foot flat to mat and the car stuck!!!!

He pulls badly to the left due to torque steer but mechanic will adjust the tie bars to try and lessen this. The suspension needs highered slightly at all corners due to rubbing either from extreme cornering or full cuts on the steering.

So now just have to get sills sanded, preped and painted due to surface rust and car will be done. Still on target for Wednesday!!

To Chris, I will be scanning my dyno printout tomorrow at work and i will get that posted up.

102.7BHP @ 6057rpm
97.5lbft @ 4300rpm

1st gear is real fast. definately shift fast off the traffic lights.
2nd gear also very good.
3rd and 4th good but 1st and 2nd really nice!!
So much more stable when driving especially round bends and braking. She used to be very juttery under braking but now with new suspension, thats all sorted!!

Will take a picture of engine bay when this wee issue with temp sender is properly fixed. And of course take a pic of the whole car once get arches back on etc

The car has been going well all except the 2nd gear crunch that it always had even thou all baulk rings were changed. I got a good 2nd hand gear, hub and baulk rings and all are in now.

The standard radiator wasnt quite cutting it. The temp fluxuated a bit especially in the warmer weather more so in town trips. It was never much above the white mark but still too much for me so when the engine was out and all, I ordered a dual core radiator from mini sport. (mini spares were out of stock)

This should be installed today and hope to get mini back for the weekend and get dam good spin in her. Im hoping the 3rd to 2nd gear crunch is finally gone!! But wont know ultil it gets driven!!

**********We avoided catastrophe********************* When we had the engine out, the head didnt look right, the cotter that is linked to the valve somehow (i am no mechanic) had cracked!! If it had bust, and fallen into the engine, BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we order 2 new cotters and all is good**************************************

Update:

3rd to 2nd gear crunch is lot better. Still there when speed above 40mph but i never change to 2nd above this. Atleast now its a usable gear. Mite crunch odd time in 2nd but its fine.

Uprated radiator is great job. Keeps the engine a lot cooler.
