UPDATE: -

103 bhp
over 95ft/lbs torque

Got mapping sorted out on car and they had first power run at 95bhp. Did tweeks to it and ended up with 103bhp with over 95ft/lbs of torque. Just need to get car built up again and hopefully take her home soon

Also bought: -

SUSPENSION PACK OF GEOMETRY ITEMS FRONT AND REAR and front subframe solid mounting kit from minispares to sort out suspension

This will help with the extra power as she is currently standard tie rods and bit bent and also the kit comes with lower arms to give negative camber. This will help improve handling massively.

Hopefully this will come in the post soon so I can get it on the car and get her out on the road!!

its def worth it to drive the wee minis about so pasta is good choice lol.

Power figures are very good. The man who mapped and built the car are very happy with bhp and esp the torque figures. He saying some of my torque low down is better than some of his rally spec cars! so Im well chuffed :)

I'm yet to see the car yet. Waitin on suspension to come and il go up to see the man, then il take her a test run!!

Il get dyno chart then and get it up Chris

As a rough estimate am in around the £6000 mark mate. Thinkin about it scares me and yet I've more to spend on interior and painting arches etc.

Test drive: - quick 1 up road.

She pulls very well. Very useable power. It's def a nice amount. When horsed her in 1st, got wheel spin at about 4500rpm on dry road. Very fast up to 60.

Her acceleration from 40/50mph and up is also nice. Not unreal quick but compared to the way she was, massive improvement. Wil be able to overtake those dreaded Sunday drivers!

Stil crunch in 3rd to 2nd gear at high rpm which she did before even thou new baulk rings and recon gearbox. Could jus be one of those things. The man said might improve a bit once put few miles in her. Not worried about it thou.

The uprated clutch (turbo clutch) feels the same as old 1 so thanks med engineering. I feared a real heavy clutch but she was as heavy as it was before. Maybe slightly worse.

My mechanic wasn't there so I couldn't get the printout of dyno. Wil get it next time. He's goin to refit the arches 4 me and respray the sills which have a bit of rust on them. Now is time to fix them. And also goin to get my suspension fitted also.

So target date is 12th April as its girlfriends birthday and I want to take her a drive out in it!!

Ive been building mine form 15, complete restoration an all that crac, was to scared to drive it so sat in a garage for a year under covers then i turned 18 and thought sod it insured it for a month drove it every day and loved every minute of it , then last year i insured it from end of may to august used it everyday.

still spotless underneath, used to put her up on axle stands every weekend and clean her haha people at the shows used to ask had i brought it up on a trailer, used to be great seeing there faces when i told them it was daily driven for a few months at a time.

if i was you id be using yours as much as you can, little bit of water wont hurt it :D
