It would have to be rear engined but it probably could be done.

I reckon it would cost a lot to do even if you're doing the work yourself.

It's been done in the front - (transverse) FWD

do you mean rear engine (transverse) RWD?

or front engine (inline) - RWD

would love to see the last one - would need a lot of bulk head work - and tunnel

I think rear engine would definitely be the easiest.

What engine have you got?
I'd get a "let". If you get an "xe" you'll always be asking yourself why you didn't get a let.

i have a xe from my corsa the conversion isnt selling so i am going to sell all the modified parts and keep the engine for the mini if i decide to do it. just seeing if it can be done and how much it would be. and if its worth it.

I can remember reading a feature in either miniworld or mini mag about a roundnose with a kawasaki bike engine (I think!) with prop to a back diff. Gonna annoy me now as to where and when it was featured!

i'm starting a rwd mini project soon, front engined one too, i'm going to graft the whole floor from a mazda mx5 onto my estate, but try not to change the wheel base. so if i get the whole floor in then all the mazda stuff will just go straight back on, along with a turbo!!
