Hello.

I'm just restoring my Red Hot and I'm looking for a classic looking centre exit exhaust. Wanted something bit diferent to RC 40. Something like an early Cooper S but cant seem to find anything for sale. The nearest I've seen is The RC 40 1.75 inch rolled back exhaust but I think it looks to bulky and big.

Cheers

Ian

If you really want the classic look, somerford make a replica of the special tuning exhaust used on the works minis, costs a lot though:

I'd probably just go for a maniflow:

Somerford mini manifold works exhaust. It's awsome, classic looking, plain pipe but sounds awsome

Damn beaten To it. Does vouch for its excellence though!

+1 on the somerford rally exhaust.

The 1,75" RC40 since they introduced the roller tip (safety?) looks wrong. Nothing a grider cant solve though.

The someford one is probably better but this is a fair chunk cheaper.

The maniflow manifold with the maniflow twin box centre exit is a great system, had mine on my rally car for eight years and it only gave up the ghost after one to many knocks. Great quality!!

maniflow do straight cut ones, you just see the rolled one more often because its more popular for them. which is what they told me.

+1 for maniflow AND their customer service is amazing. I wouldn't use anything else.
