could anyone recommend a mini specialist or garage in the oxford area?

the oil leak on my daily driver mini city is getting worse and its one of those jobs i have put off and put off and it needs sorting.

i always do my own servicing/repairs but the lack of a garage + winter weather means i am prepared to farm out this job!

any sugestions?

/I think it's leaking from a few places! both diff seals and the driveshaft seal on one side. Could be coming from the inspection covers at the back of the engine also.I have replaced the driveshaft seal on one side but couldn't get the driveshaft to separate from the box on the other side so I left it as I didn't want to damage the diff casing. I have replaced the selector seal seal also. It's a standard 998cc A plus engine v

Autorite in swindon is a mini specialist, there is also a place near Standlake however if those are the places its leaking from then they are easy to fix so any garage should be able to do it , i would offer but had some metalwork done on my shoulder and still recovering.

+1 for Pitstop

There is a guy called Richard Dickson (Dicky) who runs a garage in Sutton Courtney near Abingdon. He is a member of abingdon mini owners club so knows his way round a mini ;)

Cheers for the replies. Plenty to go on there. One place not mentioned is the real mini company. There workshop is not that far from me apparently. Anyone had any dealings with them?

I live in garsington so not that far from Abingdon or any of the places mentioned. Just wanted genuine recommendations as I have always done most stuff on my mini's myself and have always been wairy of garages trying to find extra work to charge you for!

I will get in touch with the Abingdon mini club I think. G
