I would use it more but I take a few people to work and wouldn't be fair on them in it, so use my MG ZS. It get used at weekends.

been wondering what to do about the front subframe stucking out abit myself, thinking a front splitter blended in to hide it.

Should fit fine, what wheels?doing same conversion myself. using a metro subframe and running gear, but i plan to redrill the disc flanges to take mini wheels. 13" probs if clears the metro brakes.

Personally I wouldn't use a Metro frame if I was to do this again. A modified Mini frame and custom driveshafts seems much better and probably cheaper too.
If you were to use Mini wheels on Metro flanges, although they would fit over the brakes it will make the car even wider and need wider arches. The Metro wheels have no dish, whereas most Mini ones are dished. I've seen it done, but don't like how it looks. The Metro one I have clear the brakes by less than 5mm. It's very tight.
You could use MG F vented brakes with the Metro frame. It's a straight swap. BUT you must use Metro GTI MPi 7 spoke wheels or 14" wheels. to clear.
