Hi people,

Recently bought an AA badge and RAC badge off eBay :
http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649

Bit of a noobie question lol but does anyone know an easy and secure method of attaching these badges to the grill since they didn't come with the standard mounting brackets?

Thanks

Two nuts and bolts and a piece of steel behind the grill with holes to put the bolts through.

You can see there are two holes at the mid/upper part and two at the bottom.
Use pop rivets to attach it to the grille using those 4 holes in the badge.

I mounted mine how richw911 decribed. Got a plate of steel, drilled two holes for the bolts then just clamp it on with the nuts and bolts.

Not particularly useless... granted its a simple device but it won't take up much room behind the grill. Not too much money either. Do like the idea though of making own steel bracket but eBay bracket will work for the time being.

i agree it is utterly useless, ..........unless you want to mount badges to the front of your car in which case it is extremely useful. O_O

It makes a fairly hopeless ironing board though.

Pop rivets are about 500 for 7 quids and are a neat option compared to a screw ;)
Its freedom of choice anyway, hats off to who is capable of selling the stuff.

lol I agree pop rivets are a neat option. Not sure they would hold it secure enough as my grill strips are quite flimsy anyway. I reckon screw idea will still look tidy and also allows the badges to be easily removed whenever.

I'll think about what method is best

There's two ways of doing something. Even if you consider them expensive for what they are, its hardly a life changing sum of money.

Lard is cheaper than foie gras, but I know what I'd prefer on a piece of toast.
