As title really!

It never has closed but with MOT approaching it should do really haha ;)

Its either the spring bit on the bonnet or the latch on the front panel and I cannot tell for the life of me which is at fault

Anyone hazard a guess?

I got a gut feeling its the bonnet just not locking properly but who knows

Cheers

this happens with mine, if its got the internal handle sum times i have to push the handle forward (inside the car) really hard to get the catch to work. worth a try as it cost nothing

Hmm good idea

I can puch the bonnet all the way down to the front panel no problem so there's obviously something not catching as it should

Flat headed screw driver and wind back the pin on the bonnet catch so its lower and it should catch on the latch

I had some trouble with mine a while back, I found that taking the mechanism off, giving it all a good grease up and bang it back on.

This happened with mine - and it was a combination of both. The latch that held it in place was dodgy, and slamming the bonnet shut screwed up the spring. It hasn't shut properly for 3 years but now it will be fixed with a new bonnet!
