Looking for a side exhaust, not a big fan of center exit exhausts.
Thanks guys,

I'd get a video of it but the car's currently in bits undergoing a VERY expensive restoration. I'll be posting a full resto section up so I'll try to remember to get an exhaust video for you too!

Thought I'd toss in my 2pence and say that my '92 998 Mayfair has a full Playmini 3" bore system that runs right up to a standard manifold. It sounds icredible, even on the completely untuned engine. You can hear it through the floor as it reverberated all the way along the pipe, never heard anything more spine tingling, particularly when revving my way through the tyne tunnel(s)

Does the 998 engine sound any different to the 1275 engine? I'm looking for like a deep sort of exhaust that sticks with a deep sound throughout the revs, not really loud although I want something that will make people notice my Mini and think of what such good cars they were.

Mine is a fletcher 3" on a standard 1275cc. Bear in mind my ignition timing is away with the fairies and I filmed this on my iPhone. I'll get a better vid on the weekend.
Sorry, to re-quote.
This has been discovered not to be a fletcher.
Its a Janspeed Manifold (we think) and down pipe and probably the rest is as well.

Well I've got a 1310 Cooper RSP too and they do sound very, very different, however I think it's more down to the carb(s) size, manifold, cylinder head and of course the rest of the exhaust system.
I'm sure someone else would be able to offer up a better explanation than myself though. haha.
