Hi does anyone know where I can get 145/70 r10 tyres from. I found some online a while back but made the mistake of not ordering some as now I can't find them again.
My rear tyres are 165/70 r10 and I don't want to hae to have a higher profile on the front because it looks silly

Never seen a 145/70 x 10, only 145/80 x 10 which has virtually the same rolling radius as a 165/70 x 10.
Ideally a Mini needs the same size of tyre front & rear and a mixture of different widths, profiles and tread patterns front to rear will cause some 'unusual' road-holding and handling.
A 145/70 x 10 on the front, if you can find one, and a 165/70 x 10 on the back would mean the front wheels were going round faster than the backs and the front would be lower than the back by about 1.5 cm. The speedo would over-read as well.

I had a tyre fitter tell me that the profile (the 70/80 etc) was the percentage of diameter of the wheel. So that's where my confusion came from until I just googled it haha, I will order some more 145/80's for ease but I'd like the front to have a lower profile anyway... If only a company would make them

And also, what difference would it make that the front wheels were going round faster than the backs? Loads of cars have bigger wheels fitted to the back, not just tyres

profile is the percentage of the tyres width

It would certainly look a bit odd, and there are not many people who would want to run 145/70 x 10 tyres so there is no market for them in the volume needed for production. Those who want a good performance with 10" wheels will go for 165/70 x 10, whilst those with original early cars with 10" wheels will want the original size of 145/80 x 10.
