Here is my Mini, which I purchased from Wales on Friday 9th November 2012. Which I have decided to name it JO, due to the number place XD

General Info (Exterior):
Its a 1990 Studio 2 Mini, it has a standard 998cc engine, it has had some stage one kit stuff fitted, which includes (I think);
* Mini Sport Superflow side exit exhaust system,
* Mini Sport LCB exhaust manifold,
* Mini Sport alloy water heated alloy inlet manifold,
* Exhaust manifold gasket.
Not sure if it has anything else as I didn't fit it.
The car has been recently re-sprayed (again not by me). and before the paint had properly settled and dried and all that, there was petrol spilled over it, as some1 managed to miss the hole.
Has 12" wheels on, with mini light alloys.
Plastic boot handle and boot light.
Bullet mirrors, the really rubbish ones, as I cant even see out the n/s one, and the o/s I have to lean back to use it properly.
the rubber on the rear windows haven't been fitted properly or have worn as there is a big hope. so they will need replacing soon.

General Info (Interior):
The orginal seats have been replace, there is now a set of sort of blue coloured ones currently fitted, with the same colour door cards, there rear seats are also the same colour.
It has no dash board, this may stay the same, but i am not sure, I am opened minded weather i should put one n or keep it how it is.
The gauges are currently the standard two.
Standard pedal covers.
A rubbish hand break, and gear knob (will need changing).
Two 6 by 9s (just behind the front seats) and Two 6.5" speakers (on the back).

My Future Plans...
I have two clocks but my plans are to put a centre clock in with either 2 or 4 gauges around it (undecided on how many at the moment) and a bonus is that when i bough the car it came it a centre clock, and conversion loom XD.
Plans for the speakers is to have the 6 by 9s moved to the back and the 6.5" speakers moved to the sides of the car where the rear pockets are. I will also add an amplifier.
Will change the rear boot light for chrome a one :D :D
Changing the current mini light alloys to revolutions that I am buying from a friend :D
I am going to fit 4x head lights to the front of the car.
The door handles ware going to be replaced by a set of alloy or polished metal ones, as the passage side has broken, and while i will be doing that, I will get new exterior door handles, as they are starting to stop working, and its making the car harder to get into (which cant be a bad thing for security reason I guess ;D :proud:)
Currently running on the old stuff so I am going to replace them with Hi-los and at the same time replace the alloy trumpets.
A new wheel, Mounty Sport Steering Wheel is the one I have my eye on at the moment, as I still have the standard one in place.

The minis interior is going to become black and white union jack themed.
My biggest plan is to get a 1275cc engine and swap it for the current 998cc engine that I have in there at the moment. but that is a little way away as my 998cc is still running well.

What has already happened.... :ohno:
When driving it back from wales, i noticed a grinding sound from the n/s, drove it round for a little when I got back, and me and my friends, had discovered that it was a wheel bearing, and so the next day I took it to the garage, and this is what we found....

Attached File  Smaller_vid.mpg   822K   22 downloadsAttached File  Smaller_vid.mpg   822K   22 downloads

and so I needed to replace the wheel bearing, and along side that, I had to replace the hud as it was knackered. so we also put on some new ball joints as we were there, here is it all fixed on...

But after that, it has been running fine, with no problems (except my empty wallet). so on to the list of future plans... =] :gimme:

I presume the puddle forms in the front?
does it have checkstrap seals?
are the door cards wet?

you haven't left the sunroof open by any chance have you...?
and where is it leaking? round the seal to body? or round the glass to seal?

Yh its in the front, and its only the driver side that gets wet, enough to make a puddle, i left a towel in there so it would some up the water while i was away for the weekend, when i got back, the towel was completely soked through and water still on the floor >_< >_<

no, i dont think i have checkstrap seats... :shy: :shy:

no, the door cards are fine and dry.

im not that daft   the sun roof is definitely closed :proud:.
Well we could just see a small puddle in-front of the upper dash pad and small area were the water is dripping from the lower part of the seal, were it would be tight to the glass...

But i have worked out since driving it, that it is the sun roof that is leaking, as when it has rained, there is water around the seal of the sunroof inside the car, i will take a picture and post to show you what i mean O_O O_O

nice to see the thread up,

i'm pretty sure the leak was from the door rubber?
and the sunroof didnt leak when i had it.

and a hell of a timing for the bearings to go. glad you got it sorted.

i want to keep a close eye on this thread :)
