My Grandad had a montego estate. Pile o' *******.
I had a Montego diesel estate (fab Perkins engine) and I just adored it. It was a year old with 28,000 miles on the clock when I got it and left me 8 years later with 160,000 miles. All my miles had been trouble free and I only parted with it as it was more rust than metal
I've been searching for a decent one for most of this year, but they've all been worn out, so I've comprised with a Maestro. Still, I'm totally in love with it and have forgotten all about getting a Montego, well for now anyway
Oh God it was awful; he used it as a Market car he used to sell at Walthamstow market, the car was scrapped a while ago; I think it was another case of tine worm. He also had a 405 that on the other hand was excellent.
