I am going to do the tidying up of the bodywork over winter. The doors are as new...got them from the Mini Door Co a couple of years ago. The shell is solid, but has been patched in a few places over the years.

Sounds fruity, goes well, looks like a standard roundnose Mini, proper sleeper that takes on a lot of "nice" cars!

No idea at all of value so please help me out! My intention is to have it for sale at Bingley with a full MOT and fresh respray so it's a little tidied.

and 3K at the very lowest.

Stripped its probably worth more like most cars unfortunately.

Shame mate to see this but understandable

Market is what it is but people letting there cars go much cheaper than what they are worth don't help it, all comes down to how long you want to hold onto it, if you need the money quick then the marketplace becomes one mans loss is another ones gain...

If you don't need the money quick then hold out, people will pay what they want if they really like something (even in these times) and yours is a good example and its well documented on here aswell

If I had between 4 and 4.5 I'd have it, its a proven conversion and its seen the road unlike so many conversions that don't even see the tarmac so its all ready to roll (after the winter anyway)

Don't need the money at all to be honest. There's no rush at all to sell...if it sells next week, so be it, if it sells this time next year, that's fine too. Main reason for thinking about selling is that I'd rather see the thing being used. I've just realised I've had the car 6 years now and would be surprised if I've done more than 1500 miles in total in it. It's a habit, more than a hobby. Every time I go to use it I just think "oh, I'll just change this, or modify that" and it's just going to carry on until I sell the car.

I've been comtemplating building a seriously modded Z18XE engine for it, running the Jenveys, decent cams, modded pistons etc. and wanted to aim for 200+bhp, but realised that even after that I'd want to modify it again.

I'm buying a 205 GTi again instead, going to look for as good a black 1.9 GTi as possible, going to eventually do a 2.0 16V GTI-6 or 1.9 MI-16 conversion and start the process all over again!

Besides, my time with Minis is coming to an end, losing all patience really so just think it's come to that time. If I can get around £4k for it, I'd be happy, but I'd like to know whether that's total dream world or whether it's worth more??

If it's less than £4k, then I'll break it for parts, put a standard front subby in it, put a 1275 in it and be just as happy....as long as it gets used somewhere!

Some very nice bits on that car, but I think the only way to get a decent return would be to take all the vaux stuff out and fit an A series back in there.

Gotta be worth £5k+ in bits.

I think I'm coming around to the idea of dropping the Allspeed/Vaux stuff out and putting a standardish A-series back in.....not sure yet if I can be bothered with the effort just for a grand or two.

Lovely mini got to be worth 4k. When you get your 205 put the gti-6 lump in it I did with mine only 8 wires differance if I remember correctly I loved mine but sold it to pay for my honeymoon.
