if i could afford a kad engine off the shelf believe me i would be calling them now, im looking for good second hand stuff, although i suspect im going to have to build one myself from scratch the way the search is going.

I love Metros! :shy: Especially the mk1 MG, first gf had one of these. I had a silver mk2, B272PJU but sold it to fund an MG Maestro 2.0 efi. The Maestro flew, but I always preferred the Metro..

quick update, finally got round to doing a few jobs i have been intending to do for ages.

changed the calipers over to later ones, enabling me to fit drilled and vented discs, and some ebc green stuff pads (early mk1 metros had solid discs remember)

switched the steering wheel a while back but only just got a centre for it. (it used to have the big 4 spoke "ital" steering wheel)

despite how it looks in the picture, the centre and the wheel are both the same colour (black)

I picked this 1 up the other day

Same colour, just different styling up front (recessed headlights, indicators/sidelights in front bumper)

awesome dude, cinnabar is a great colour (but i would say that) when its polished up it looks great, and still looks very bright even compared to modern colours.

when you say you lowered it slightly, you mean you let some fluid out didnt you, go on admit it lol.

Cheers for the offer mate! I know i shouldnt let the fluid out (hangs head in shame) but i dont like the standard ride on a metro, feels very boat like, very "wallowy" lol takin some of the fluid out firms it up n makes it feel much better (although i now need 2 front tyres because the cambers a bit negative :P) u goin mini in the park in it? If u do, ill come along in mine :)
