Looking excellent mate! Had no Idea that body style existed either, never seen a standard roundnose front on a Hornet body, gotta say its a neat look.

I need to ask, where did you get that chin spoiler? By mexico do you mean Escort MkII Mexico? Would LOVE one for the Clubman :D

We had some unique cars this end of the world. The Wolseley cars here had the standard Mini body shell with the Hornet front end. Only in South Africa would they swap things around!

The spoiler was from ABS in the UK. It's just called a Mexico, made specifically for the Mini, designed by the Mclean brothers. They do ones for the Clubman as well  :proud:

Got the RHS ones fitted up today. Still need to modify the front a bit, but the back is how it will be fitted, apart from the rubber strip between arch and body. I'm thinking of keeping the arches and spoiler black, what do you think?

I'll get some better photos once everything is fitted up properly.

I'd colour code them. Have u kept the pieces that you trimmed off? I would try and fit it around the bumper, then with the front one, try and end it in a nice flowing curve that goes into the lower front panel

kinda like this,

That green bit is an added piece to blend it into the rear lower valance.

Thanks for that, I like how that looks. Only thing was, these arches were already shorter at the back, so I don't really have a piece or a guide to go on at the moment.

Might have to get you to do a full picture of her when she's done  ;D

All the arches have been adjusted for fitment, including the spoiler.Only need to modify the LHS front to fit the bumper and it's sorted. Now it's just a case of paint and fitment.

Had some fun :

Looks ridiculous to say the least! And with the spoiler, it looks like a snow plow with the thin wheels on.

Finally have all the arches fitted and modified. Might need a little more work here and there before paint, but they're 99% as they'll be fitted. Only problem I've come across now is that the front bumper is quite bent and it shows, especially with the spoiler sitting underneath it. Just means it'll need some manly work done to it. Anyways, here's how she looks at the moment :

Just imagine it a little lower now.

Nice job Jared!! It looks HOT mate and will look great when the engine is in to lower it a bit...

It all looks the part now mate... the flares are spot on for the little fatties and its all coming along nice. The bumper is not a big deal... that's an easy fix if you cant straighten it...

keep up the great work...

Thanks mate, this is definitely how I envisioned the car. Looking mixing a few ideas from different car cultures etc. but mainly for it to be different to everything else here in SA. The bumper is actually more twisted than bent, sits a lot higher on the passenger side, which means the gap between the over rider and spoiler is more substantial than the driver's side.

Really coming together now!

There's a lot to go, but finding little bits of time here and there in between work and studies does help.

This what I did to the arches to make them fit the bumpers of the car.

Front :

Had to slot and file away at the lower front section.

Rear :

Had to just file away so it fits nicely.
