Liking the visors :D mind if I ask what have you used to hinge them? Yours are nice and neat, make my road sign ones look crap!

Thanks  :proud: At the moment, it's a temporary piece of metal from a can  :shy: Will think of something a little more permanent later on.

I really really want a rocker cover like that. It just looks so cool!

I could sell you one - but it wouldn't be cheap!

Stripped the motor of its ancillaries and gave it another good clean in preparation for paint :

Need to replace the seals and some gaskets at some point as well.

Will the motor be getting a full rebuild? Or has that already happened at some point in the recent past?

New seals and some gaskets will do for now. It's got low mileage on, so shouldn't need a rebuild, but it does seem to have had some work done in the past.

Making a start with paint removal on the engine. The previous owner put some good stuff on there - seems like it'll fight me until the end.

Really hope you can get the paint off the gearbox casing and flywheel housing, since those parts don't look great when they are painted.

I'm going to try my best. Tend to agree with you on that point.

I did some more cleaning on the engine today. The block is nearly ready to paint. Need to give the gearbox some attention to get that remaining paint off.

Also sprayed a small patch of green on the block to see what it'll look like - not bad.

It's actually cleaning up quite nicely. It's cool to start seeing the clean aluminium underneath that old paint.

I might put a little paint stripper on to get into the tight corners.
