So keen to see these wheels on the car after this epic detailing.

So what have you got left to finish before it makes it on the road?

The motor to service and replace seals and the like.
Fuel system.
Dash board and all the wiring behind it. Plus general checking of the wiring.

That's about it really.

This will be the last update on these rims until tyres are attached - promise.

I decided to replace all the allen bolts, rather than just the one snapped one - better safe than sorry :

I was adding some receipts into the file and realised it's getting quite full. No, it's not to brag, it's just me being pedantic about this car.

I also turned this :

Thoughts on the gloss black?

Can't wait to get some tyres on :

Love the badges. They complete the look of the car. The ZA badge must be quite rare, haven't seen too many of them around.

I quite like that it's a ZA one - only adds to the uniqueness of the car.

As long as the gloss looks ok!  =] I obviously need to sand it down and give another coat or two, but I'll leave that until the other one arrives.

I haven't seen too many of them either. This once belonged to my grandfather.

Oh wow, any idea what car he had fitted them to? Maybe an old Morris Minor or Austin A30?

It was fitted to an Austin A55. They used it when they went into Rhodesia, as it was known then.

Ah sweet! I guess BMC has been in your family for quite a few generations. Any photos of the Cambridge?

Along with many other brands. Unfortunately not.
