Its getting there..have you set yourself a date to be finished by?

Not yet. I'm trying to do as much as I can during my holiday. I'm hoping to get her on the road in this coming year.

What are night breakers?

As Colin pointed out. They're really good and provide good light. They're about R300 and a great improvement over the cheaper H4 items. We have them in our Hilux and Falcon.

Made a start on the steering column today. Wet sanded with 2000 and then cut and polished. I don't want it to be perfect. I like that it has some scratches and chips on it - gives it that patina feel I suppose.

Clean on the left, dirty on the right :

Looking good Jared. Wonder how hard its going to be to keep it clean? You'll need to wash your hands before you get in to drive!

I think keeping it clean might a problem over time, especially when working on it. I might need a cloth or two and some gloves  ;D

Gloves are a good idea, especially for winter times ;)

and these on your feet..

and maybe some of these for passengers, depending on how bad your driving is.

Haha, fantastic! I know a guy who is obsessed with cleaning and detailing his car. Suggested that he should make his passengers wear booties, latex gloves and a hairnet... never thought of the adult diapers though :D

I might just have to get a bulk pack of all those, especially the booties!! I can't stand mud and dirt in a car  >_<

I didn't sand the steering wheel, I just cut and polished it. Came up really well, but the thought of getting it dirty now bothers me haha...

Not the best picture, but the flash shows how clean it is now :

Nowhere in town was I able to find a set of staggered fit amber globes for the indicators up front. They finally arrived this week and so I got them fitted up. Looks really neat I think :

When I get the windscreen in and the bonnet bar on, then I shall definitely be making a change  =]
