You have to drive down to Cape Town once this beauty is done, I know everyone here would love to see it in the flesh :)

That's definitely on the list of go-to destinations in her.

Finally got my dash :

d9kKYY0.jpg

Had it made up here by a local guy using aluminium. They're both the bigger versions and not the usual one big and one flat panel. As you can see there is still some work to be done, but I'll do that all myself to save money and have it exactly as I want it. Need to decide if I want to polish them up or paint them. Decisions . . .

A slightly better picture of the dash :

Still have to cut out and things before actual fitment. Managed to get the front plates to fit better as well.

Is this dash going around the centre binnacle?

On either side yes. Inspired by the works dash, but done in the way I want it done i.e. like the side closing panels and both sides being the larger boxes. I have my reasons for this. Just another thing to have that's unique.  =]

Decided to do something different and came up with this :

S25hNds.jpg

It matches the doors now. I won't be doing anymore - subtlety is key here. There's a couple small bubbles and lines, but it'll be covered by the seat, so it's ok. I still need to do the passenger side as well.

Also fitted up the front spoiler to see how it'll look :

And a view from the other side now :

And a better look at the slot in the front arch (she's filthy, please excuse that) :

Well, I fitted up the rear Hi-Los today and also put the shoes and cylinders in the wheels. I just need to get the clevis pin for the handbrake and give the drums a bit of paint.

Then fitted up the wheels too (the Hi-Los are set quite low at the moment) :

And I just can't get enough of this end of the car :

Thanks mate  =] I don't want to go overboard with the stickerbomb - that doesn't appeal to me. I don't think I've seen any with it on the crossmember though, but then again, I've never really looked. I can't wait to see her with the engine in and sitting nice and level (looks a bit like a gasser at the moment ). I just need to get through the next two weeks of work and then I can really spend some time on her.

I got this from the rusty 1275E we have - it sits underneath the dash (seeing as I want have dash space). I want to see if I can get it to fit with my proposed heater setup. It has a few glue stains (thanks Leyland SA) and needs a bit of bringing back to life in terms of colour, but it's not broken or cracked.

Had a little bit of free time this afternoon, so I finally fitted up the calipers, front pipes and hoses :

I don't think the silver looks too bad.

Then got her on her proper shoes :

She still looks a bit like a gasser at the moment, but an engine will help with that. The front might be slightly over-arched, but I don't mind.
