A: Why lie about the dates on which its been removed
B: Why pull the roof out? Its not the shell that fell off the production line anymore.. its a knocked about clubman shell :/

Spoilt it. Don't care if everyone thinks I'm wrong, heritage has been spoilt..
I could even agree with building an onsite museum so we could visit it ... hell even re-create that tunnel elsewhere, but trying to restore it? Not to mention the owner of the "last ever mini to leave the factory" is going to be pissed!

dude.. what could he have done with that sort of shell??? pointless keeping it like that may as well scrap it. restoring it SYMPATHETICALLY would be such a good idea. but no, always has to be a killjoy

Should of left it then! Been there for the last 30 odd years... why go take it out now. Belonged there

no.... it doesnt belong in a tunnel... thats stupid. just rust away and not be of any use to anyone. i cant wait to see it restored at a show, and im sure that there will be many people who can appriciate what it is and the effort involved.

also, thats harsh to stevem. he has worked there, so there is an obvious connection, and then for him to actually man up and do what people have been talking about gets hated on and told he should have left it there. absolute respect to this man. in the other topic of that other clubman in that tunnel, when someone actally balls up and decides to take it and restore it, you going to hate on him too?

did mummy not tell you if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all.

I think its great you pulled it out, however you should of left in its state and donated it to a museum.

I agree With 666Junky. Thats ruined it.

Sorry.

please tell me of any museum in the world that wants this and i will gladly donated it and do you thing a machine dragging it out and throwing it in a skip ...then it would of been ruined

Love it!

I've been interested in this Mini for quite a while, I believe you're doing the right thing in giving the Mini the life it never had. I wanted to do this but didn't know where to start. Hope to see a progress thread coming soon.

Maybe you should paint it green to represent a lot of the envy in this thread

Just to clear this up you had permission to take it?

Other wise your advertising theft on a public internet forum.

An yes agree it great for it to be restored, but its now lost its mystique, you should've re-shelled and kept the damaged shell. -

Seems pointless to leave it to rot in the dark, it should be restored and put in museum

Some are missing the point he was working there about 30 years ago and wanted to save the car, but no one cared about that.
Now he decided to do the job.
Yes the heritage of the car is in the tunnel, but hell, theres nothing strange/wrong in what hes doing.

The car belongs to no one, it was never finished, BL does not exist anymore and the car was never finished and registered.

Nope, if it belonged to BL and there for rover after that that means that whoever bought the land must own it surely?
