The Pride of Longbridge (Saturday 13th April), but I'm not sure what others.

Tanya was your 1275GT on show at Bingley. I thought I recognised it?

Yes - here's our Trevor :D

He's clean, but nowhere near concours clean and a little tatty round the edges. :-) However, he is an honest little car, with every MOT from new and bills for every bit of work that has been carried out on him over the past 42 years. He's a little story all in himself :-)

Just read through this entire thread! what an amazing story. Its nice that it hasn't just ended with it being left down there or scrapped!

I am so so glad you took it out, it made me really sad to think of it down there all lonely in the dark and cold!
As has been said it would have been lost at some point or another so what's the point in leaving it when now its going to have a lovely life and people will be able to enjoy it :)
Had you sat by and done nothing, we would most likely be reading a topic about it being scrapped or buried by developers!
Finally gets to do what it was built to :)
For me the best feeling in the world is enjoying my mini and why shouldn't this mini get that too? The value and importance is in its history and story, not being left down there!

Also, Im glad that your doing it to keep it too, its an amazing piece of history and now the story will always be known.

I reckon even if you decided to fully restore it, you should keep standard and maybe leave one small reminder of what happened to it.

But it is deservingly yours and I wish you the best of luck with it. I'm so pleased you got it out. Can't wait to see a build thread of this!

oh come off it no one really cares. if they did they would have done something with it. they would have probably used it as landfill when filling in the tunnels, which they are bound to do. he probably did them a favour!

*Cough*Breaking the law in the process but hey YOLO

Jealous? I think so...

In what way are you assuming I'm jealous.

At that point in thread, we didn't know he had permission. So taking it out would've technically been breaking the law, ie. Stealing!
