I've just finished converting to a centre binnacle, made from a blue weave carbon fibre. Also found a chrome bullet tachometer from a boat in the USA, looks pretty cool.
The binnacle was $155 delivered from the States too, but did need some fettling to fit, and speedo brackets gluing on the inside.
Custom dash liners made to go with my door cards. Found this chap on ebay selling the door cards I wanted, and noticed that he did dash liners, gave him a ring and he was happy to accommodate custom orders, and affordable.

Thought I'd share my interior, Its not completely finished yet, still got a few things to do but its getting there.
Before, It had Studio2 square 80's seats which were horrible so I bought some Rio SPI seats as they are more comfy...

After, I got new door cards in a rather nice diamond quilted pattern made up by Optimise Automotive then did quite a bit of head scratching for the seat retrims. Eventually came up with this also made by Optimise.

Here's my interior in my Mini Cooper MPi, 1998.
... And here's what it looks like in the dark. I put blue LED'S in it, lol! Under both footwells, centre column and under the back seat at rear. :)

Just wondering with your seats if you fitted the covers or optimise trimmed for you..looking at using them and just wondered if you had fitted yourself how easy did you find it?
Thanks. Ed
Hi, Ed
I trimmed these myself, it was a bit tricky in places and I could have done with removing the plastic mechanism trim pieces but I didn't want to break them because I'm missing one and getting hold of them is like finding hens teeth. The trickiest part is getting the elastics inside the covers hooked back on to the frame. I'm sure
if you remove the back from the base of the seat this is much easier but as I've said I didn't want to break the trim. It is a fairly straight forward job but can be very fiddly. The back seat on the other hand was easy peasy!
