...well...I spent about a year just getting things together and although everything isn't quite done I've finally refurbished and replaced most of the interior and re-covered my seats...

Things still on going but at a stage where I can put it on show ...

Some more of these please. Really beautiful!

Im currently replacing a few items in the interior with some nice bargains I picked up and I will then grab some more/better pictures - the Smiths pocket watch seen through the steering wheel has been replaced with this Heuer Mastertime:

And the centre stopwatch will be replaced with this Heuer Monte Carlo - its currently being serviced to get it to run smoothly.

Id like to say that then my interior will be finished but thats probably not true

Love it.

Where did you get the Heure stopwatches from?

I keep seeing those heater vents on the upgraded interiors.  Where did you get them from as I really want to add them to my interior.

Thanks

Laughing Gravy, I love your interior. Very nicely done, especially the boot.

I am just down the road from you as well (Sandy).

...cheers Mr Ghost. The boot was pretty easy and with a little bit of advice and 'top tips' so was the recovering...all made easier because they were made really well. Customer Trim Creations..bloke called Dave up in Cheshire/Manchester.

I was a little bit worried about taking it on but doing it 'thi' sen' is a whole lot more satisfying and kind of seems part of the deal when owning one of these little blighters :-)

I see quite a few other Minis chugging around these parts...excellent for parking in Cambridge! :-)

Nothing too fancy, just clean and usable. Stripped the padded dash rails off, and used a van switch panel, homemade door trims and some mx5 seats.

I like that interior.  What did you use and do you plan to do the seats with some covering as well?

Well initially it was an interim measure so i can save for a full cream leather interior, but i may keep it i like it so much, so front seats would probably be kept in black otherwise it may be too much, but the grey vinyl on the back seat i would try and dye black to match, and a wooden dash.

I just saw some nice tartan in the local fabric shop, ripped off the old door card covers and used very thin carpet underlay and spray adhesive to attach the new stuff on. The back seat is essentially a patch put over the existing fabric centres. The piping around the dash was just covered using the leftover stuff sewn over the original fabric.

Needs a new carpet but not sure what colour yet. Now also have a wooden astrali wheel in there too.

It looks good.  I like the trim around the dash.  Pretty neat idea.

Mont[/quote]

Im afraid not, its a compass on a self levelling mechanism. I imagine it wouldnt be hard to make a cupholder like it though. Just two rings inside eachother, lightly bolted together at 90 degree angles held on with a bracked screwed into the ashtray which has been glued shut.
