Been a kit there are loads of engine options. pinto was popular at the time but theres fiat and other engines including v6/v8.
The rear lights were from a trailer to get it through the test, but yeah generally it needed the plinth the lights mount to cutting away and refibreglassing to suit some better lights. We had these plans but never got around to doing it.

I believe that the chap who bought your car, a chap named Ian, just happened to know one of the members of the Wildcat Club. My dad is in the club and just received an email about the very car.

The were was a white one sold recently via the club and also a low drag coupe replica, but beside that I believe the last one's advertised for sale via the club were around 3 years ago, but I have recently seen others for sale on classic car sites, one very like the above blue except with classic series 1 type rear lights above the bumpers which were oddly positioned at an upwards angle for some strange reason.
