i was offered some 12" wheels the other day, and they were gkn cast wheels. however i think they might be early metro challenge wheels? i would know if i saw the ones your after.

they are very odd and rare I think now, just need to find 4 even ruff will do as I am building a replica of my brothers 1979 McCain Oven Chip 1275 gt Challenge car

however directly below in the same list is a picture of "Unipart GAW122, 5x12 Made by GKN" which i do know where there is a set of and are in very good condition.

the casting is the same apart from the extra ribs on the centre section either side of the stud holes. other than that the first type has the tips of they spokes machined off to match the raised centre ring which is on both types.
contradicting this though, this site shows the first picture, with the part number of the second type?

anyway, the wheels i know of are these ones, the guy wants £250 for them

just to confirm from my previous reply, on the list below there is a picture of "GKN Silverstone, 5x12" which i what i believe you are looking for?

Thank you for all your efforts, I have a few pictures of the old car and looking at it and what you have found the direct match is the Unipart GAW 122 wheel, I think it was made by GKN so I need 4 of them ? any one have any

so which one of the pics does it look like as both of these wheels i have shown have that part number on them, and are made by gkn?
why dont you post the pic on here dude so we can see whcih ones your talking about?
