Basically I am just starting my complete rebuild project which is including a full respray, I am getting the exterior done proffessionally but the inside I'm going to do myself and previously the floor has been covered in Schultz, can I spray over this ? Or will I need to take it off first ?
Cheers guys

hi i have just restored my mini and have given the entire under car 3 coats of schultz (for protection) then painted over in body colour no problem , the only draw back is the schultz stays soft so can be scratched off easily while reassembling the car as i found out
,but no problem with the paint over the top .
You fitted oversills :-( usually it cant be overpainted you will find problems in the future

You can paint over stonechip - which is usually applied with a schultz/schutz gun.
Are you sure that what's inside is schultz? I would have thought it would make a horrible mess on the back of the carpet. Minis were mostly fitted with bitumen sound deadening pads in the floorpans - you can paint over these.
Stealth05 - Coversills are a bad idea and I bet you'll be replacing them again 2 years max unless it never comes out of the garage. Very foolish shortcut.

as for oversills , cheers guys but the past owner had fitted these while restoring it before he passed away with cancer , the old outer sills had been removed before these were fitted and all rust cut out and bare metal treated

Ok will it just come off with petrol ?
Use a heat gun gently and scrape most of it off, then use white spirit for the rest. Wear some disposable paper overalls or clothes you don't mind binning as it is a horrible job and impossible to do without making a mess.
