"Here we have my much loved Foers Nomad, mini based kit car. Sarge as it is lovingly known is painted in Nato infra-red matt olive green with brown and black camoflauge shadowing.
The engine is a 1275 block with a stage 5 race head with 1.5 roller tip rockers. It was rolling roaded at SMMC in 2011 with 79 bhp at the wheels. It always gets lots of attention at the various mini shows we have attended and is as much at home running down the strip at Santa pod (18.4 sec 1/4 mile) as it is green laneing with the mokes.
It has a single box exhaust system off a lcb manifold, the rear subframe was changed last year for the MOT and was zinc dipped and powder coated before fitting. It also has 4 6x13 mini light wheerls with virtually new tyres and a steel spare fitted to the rear tailgate. inside it has a custom aluminium dashboard and cobra bucket seats with 4 point harnesses. A stereo with amplifier and large sub is also fitted so that it deafens the kids sat on the rear side facing landrover seat ( no seat belts fitted to it). There are 2 or 3 air horns too just to keep the passing pedestrians amused.
At present the vehicle is SORN and there is no MOT . Last years MOT had an advisory on a front arm which is still in the car awaiting fitting. i think the car has done about 100 miles in the last twelve months as a new job means I no longer have the time to use it.
The rear roof was repaired last year with new window sections and zips fitted, it slides off the cab via a caravan awning type slide in section and is waterproof and makes little noise even when doing 70 + mph both doors lift off so when we get any summer it is fantastic to drive around in.
Fitted to the rear is a towbar which we have used for taking our mini clubs trailer to the various events and also trips to the tip.
It is a shame to let this car go but it needs to be used and I just dont have the time anymore.
I have the V5 and it states Foers Nomad not mini as many do."
