I've just picked up some original advertising material here in South Africa, with original dealer writing etc. on them. Hope they can be read.
First one is dated November '59 :
The following two sections fold out from the back :

The second one is dated September '64 :

Improves the styling? That's a matter of opinion.
In the early 1960's there was a guy who had just finished his apprenticeship at de Havilland Aircraft and he sold his MG TF and bought a fairly new Mini. Now a lot of we ex-apprentices then had Minis, but this guy's Mini was, how shall I put it, rather less than totally reliable. In fact, it was dreadful and he never stopped moaning about it as well as fixing it.
Now we had an internal post system, so we used to cut out all the Mini ads and send them to him via internal mail. Every day he would get loads of ads saying:
"Mini Motoring is Fun & Trouble Free"
"It's Mini Magic"
"Mini-Cooper for the Fast Lane"
Etc.
It kinda drove him mad!
In the end he sold it and bought a Ford. That might not have been any more reliable, but it stopped the ads arriving!

This front end add on was also available around the same time to complete a facelift of your Mini..........

I wonder if it's the same Wilsons my Commer Auto-Sleeper came from. If it is they went into motor caravans in a big way and are still around today, they were responsible for building this beast too

Yes....as you can see from the steering wheel logo in the 1983 Motor caravan ad, in link below it is the same Wilsons of Epsom in Surrey.

Cool.
Wilsons made two of those big campers, the one pictured was for their own personal use. The other one was a prototype but more or less the same, a guy I know owned it for a while and I got a chance to have a good nosey at it. Fantastic thing with a three litre straight six used in the Humber Super Snipe under the bonnet - inside is huge, the shower room in it is about the same size as my Auto-Sleeper
