Are you sure because there seem to be a lot of mk1 speedo's with the indicator light at the top?
Yes I'm sure. It all depends on the age of the speedo. Very early speedos have the main beam light at the top.
Well, the speedo in jaydee´s link is mk1, has a green light at the top and the blue high beam at the bottom left, so... Seems they changed their minds with every speedo they made.
Cooperman, I think it´s like this:
- mk1 970 and 1071 S had the 120 mph speedo
- mk1 1275 S had the 120+ mph speedo
- mk2/3 S had the 130 mph speedo

Cooper 997 and Cooper 998 have the 100 mph, its the one i'll need since i'll have the funds for the rebuild..
This is a Mk1 997/998 speedo.
The Mk2 998 speedo has a green indicator warning light between the 50 and 60.

Sorry for the thread revival,,,
The 100 mph speedo was from the 997 & 998 Cooper.
and also the original 1971 - 1973 Californian Mokes (also referred to as an Export Moke).
They were also fitted with a 1275 engine and drum brakes.
