Reg plate though, gives it away a bit

A fake v5 & plates don't take long to make - even chassis plates can be stamped easily
and the vin on the scuttle is rarely visable due to rust / replacement
if they can fake the latest £20 , then a V5 will be easy

How are they locating all these cars? Makes you wonder if they have an insight into mail order or simular details?
Probably broken for bits or to be rung with a scrap car V5?
Not a new thing though, mini's have always been a relitlivey easy target
Hope they turn up soon, put some footwork in, check local lock ups etc

I never even thought of that! Jeeeez its getting worse and worse...
I like that tracker you linked, definitely worth investing.
Like others have said they must all be in units or backs of vans somewhere, I doubt they'd put them up for sale as its too easy to see and find. Although if they did respray them then like you say...who would know?

Maybe this is what the thieves use to track where the valuable cars are?
