weheeyy time to crack on!

 

now, i have been doing alot on the clubman engine at the moment.  engines pretty much done now apart from some output flange cover bushes... 

 

i dun dis tho. holes are cosmetic only but still.. its been ported out, polished, opened up for better oil flow and generally made less crap. il never ever use one standard now i have looked into them and seen how rubbish the cast is.

 

 

 

now, the ex miglia.

 

as you know there is a large amont of holes everywhere. i have put the rear subframe on to be able to move the mini around the workshop, so its on:D  looks good aswell!

 

 

 

 

 

looks good! will be lower, no weight in it, i can lift the rear end waist height with the subframe on!

 

and i have finished the brace bars!

 

they are inch tubing, same stuff we use on the historics chassis, so its strong!

 

 

rose jointed either end, the bolts in are temporary, and i have allen bolts on order:) need to make up some spacers for it though, probably 12 by 5 with a 10mm bore.

 

i made up some brackets for the brace bars, i didnt want to just bolt it to the car panelling, so i made these up, made them look good and welded them on!

 

 

 

 

 

and the car currently!  woop!

 

 

 

paint hopefully in a few weeks so i am seriously cracking on, but if i get parts for the clubman engine my attention will be easily swayed, as i want to hear that baby roar, it should have huge power!!!

sexy brace bars mate, are you having them stickers on the side remade so you can spray the whole car and refit the new stickers or do you want to keep the orig stickers and paint right up to them?

I have used a bit of filler to smooth the rear end boot floor out as much as posible. if youhave been following you will know that the way the bootfloor was made, the two metal filler strips that were angled were stepped, so there was a lip. a bit of filler sorted that out. a bit of hand painted etch primer for a base for the seam sealer!

fibreglass the gaps up in the bulkhead. this is to stop fuel gushing around if i put her on her roof! and its what it had originally so back she goes!

I filled that hole in, this was between mixes!

this is fairly beefy, should act as a brace bar for the rear damper mounts aswell :) all tied in with the cage!
 
 
rear towers welded for strength, cant have these ripping off!

Haha cheers MATE. it's actually really solid! must make it a little more solid! Only used it because the boot has to be sealed from the passenger compartment due to the good ole MSA..

Yes bud:). Bars finished, body's prepped, boots prepped and so is the front end, underside is sealed and in colour!! Just waiting to finish this weekend at pembrey so I can do the pics/crack on with paint!
