Lurking in the corner of the garage was another find.



A 1978 Honda Express with only 576 miles from new!!

I now have a new Mini and a cool moped

two nice finds, I got 100 quid for one of those peds as a non runner and it didn't have a shopping basket....

I had an epic police chase on one of them!comfyest seat ever!

Yes, the moped was a fantastic find as well, and I too can remember being chased by the police on one when i was 17, escaped down a local bridal way, long before the advent of police helicopters!! I've had to strip the carb down as that has got the crusty remnants of 30 year old petrol in it.

Anyhow, here's a pic of the Jet Black minus one wing.





Hopefully I'll be able to recreate the fit and finish of the original N/S front wing.



And just for the hell of it, here is my next project. (the red one, not the gold one)

You should drop the moped engine into your mini, it'll prob give a bit more power

Nice finds all round. That interior really does look in good condition.

That moped is cool as fcuk. Like someone said, you definitely need E.T in the basket!!

It's about time I updated this thread. The Jet Black has been on the road for a year now and is running great, it's just done a 500 mile round trip on the L2B and didn't miss a beat.
