That is awesome mate. Looks so nice and original. Will be a time warp car with little work, and a nice story too :-)

Ok then, I paid £1000 for it, which I think was a fair price. As said, there are no keys and it does need a front and rear end repaint.

I found out about it from a guy my wife works with, it was his mums. I had to do a 500 mile round trip to Portsmouth from Yorkshire to pick it up.
.

THIS WAS 30 MINUTES FROM ME AND I DIDNT KNOW?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks for that, just bought some!!

Really need to start a build thread for this car, I'm having to replace the front wing as I wasn't happy with how the replacement non genuine front wing fitted so have ordered a new genuine item.

Have had it running, it had half a tank of twenty year old petrol in it which has coated the tank in black gunge so I'm having to replace the tank as well, the clutch slave cylinder and both rear wheel cylinders are seized up solid and also need replacing and fresh fluid bleeding through.

Glad to hear you are keeping it standard  ........so many of the few Jet Blacks that have survived have been heavily modified but make sure you pump plenty of rust preventing Waxoyl inside those nice original solid metal sills though!

I am currently do a nut and bolt restoration of my jet black. I am keeping everything that make it standard but i am wanting to have a bit more grunt so have sourced a second engine and will be cleaning up the original and keeping as a winter engine. thus meaning that i can have it how i like it. Everything that i have taken off is getting reconditioned and labelled up before i store it.

Thought i might as well continue this thread as my build thread, so if any mods are reading can you move this to the rebuilds section please.

Here is the dodgy front wing after i'd removed a wedge of filler.
