Yep skimming the block and head faces with a little whizzy disk which come in p40 grit! thats the way to do it!

No sadly, you didnt
BUT... YOU can win that very car! isnt that brilliant,
a winter project where you can rebuild the engine, fit the panels properly, and remove the bloody stickers that "add value" because adding stickers make it the genuine article!

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet and I have missed it, but according to Wikipedia they will be doing a Mini Cooper in one of the last two shows of the series...

I mentioned it last month, immediately after the first episode.
They're giving their special treatment to a Mini Cooper in a fortnight's time. That'll be a show not to miss!!

The best TV resto progs are the ones with Mark Evans. He's done both an MGB & an E-Type and both were done properly.

Yes I mentioned the mark Evans on this thread. I think his program's are the best I've seen, every series was thoroughly interesting not like this rubbish on channel5

Is it normal to use flap wheels in an angle grinder to remove paint from the front wings and bonnet?

No, I don't think so. I've seen and put right enough 'bodge-jobs' on Minis over the years that this will probably just frustrate & anger me.

Any Mini episode predictions?
I think I'll go for a rear subframe disaster, with the replacement coming off an MPI for a tenner & mysteriously losing all its exhaust hangers before going on to a hydrolastic Cooper S.
