No sadly, you didnt

BUT... YOU can win that very car! isnt that brilliant,

a winter project where you can rebuild the engine, fit the panels properly, and remove the bloody stickers that "add value" because adding stickers make it the genuine article!

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet and I have missed it, but according to Wikipedia they will be doing a Mini Cooper in one of the last two shows of the series...

I mentioned it last month, immediately after the first episode.

They're giving their special treatment to a Mini Cooper in a fortnight's time. That'll be a show not to miss!!

Is it normal to use flap wheels in an angle grinder to remove paint from the front wings and bonnet?

A bit aggressive?

The best TV resto progs are the ones with Mark Evans. He's done both an MGB & an E-Type and both were done properly.
I daren't watch this Channel 5 rubbish in case I throw something at the TV!

Yes I mentioned the mark Evans on this thread. I think his program's are the best I've seen, every series was thoroughly interesting not like this rubbish on channel5

Will you be watching the mini one?

They've never heard of paint stripper or chemical dip

No, I don't think so. I've seen and put right enough 'bodge-jobs' on Minis over the years that this will probably just frustrate & anger me.

Oh my god! I've read plenty of negative comments about the show but hadn't dared to watch it until today. I'm shocked! Just watched the MGB one. The guy went to look at it and said no it was too rusty, his colleague then did a deal for it over the phone, for £500! :ohno: I bought a tidy, roadworthy 'B' for £900 about 3 years ago. This one was rotten and covered in bird poo. And they decided to weld up the sunroof?!

Dreadful dreadful programme and exactly the wrong way to go about buying/restoring classics. Plus it's all staged, Americanised and the bald shouty guy is a :xxx:

To be fair the Canadian bodyshop crew were obviously capable of doing a proper job.

Any Mini episode predictions?

I think I'll go for a rear subframe disaster, with the replacement coming off an MPI for a tenner & mysteriously losing all its exhaust hangers before going on to a hydrolastic Cooper S.
