after watching Bernie on Chop Shop i would of thought they would actually show the restoration, who cares if they made a profit or not? He needs to go back to the Discovery channel

The best bit, for me, even better than 55 minutes of untruths and half truths, was the Computer Generated animation of the Jag's independent rear suspension ... where the whole top wishbones moved vertically up and down with the wheels

But don't worry ... there's apparently a Mini Cooper in the series later

Wouldn't be at all surprised if that was staged. Cameras just happened to be filming then? Engine block just happened to be in the way? Call me cynical!ouch for when he crashed it straight after the respray though

Therefore would have seen him heading into it
& that did look like a silly place to leave an old block like that lying about

Yes - bet is was. Dreadful, dreadful program. It's a shame as I would have been interested had it not been in the 'entertainment' genre but I guess this is the type of program that the public like. For me, I guess it's a bit like Top Gear - I loved it 20 years ago but it's not for me now, but my kids including the two who aren't interested in cars love it.

As for the mechanical abilities. A forked ball joint splitter on a historic car! So that will be a new ball joint right away. Under the bonnet looked really grubby and as for the sun roof? That knocked about £5k at least off the car value.

I wouldn't mind sticking that sunroof in my min
I am quite sure so would the purchaser of the E type.
What's the big deal about sun roofs, it rains to much in the UK for any sensible use and in a hot climate you would leave it and the internal cover if it has one closed to keep the sun out or the drips from the melted ice in winter. You ever worked in a green house?
