Found this metro thats been off the road and in storage since 1995, 18 years without turning a wheel in anger, plans are to tidy it up and drop in a B16 (possibly turbo) engine from a honda civic!

1st pic is of the garage, or should i say its in the bush somewhere about 10ft back...

Front panel/wings and rear bumper are pretty rough, but everything else is solid! Even the brakes were free n not seized considering it had been sat with the hand brake on for 18years lol did try start it.... Yes.... It turns over! But alas no spark (possibly dodgey coil) all electrics work too!

I was just about to ask this too. What made you look in what looks like a garage area round the back of some houses?

The story goes like this...

I joined metroownersclub website when i got my blue mk1 metro, after a few months of being on there, an advert in the for sale section comes up, "barn find basic spec metro" so i enquire, arrange a viewing with the social services (the owner passed away many years ago, leaving the car in the garage, and the son who has learning difficulties went into care at the same time) as the house was being sold to fund the care of the son, the house/garage had to be cleared, so imdtead of the car going to scrap, i make an offer which is accepted, and im left to get the car out myself once money changed hands (the son was very happy with the extra money, bless him)

Luckily no one wanted my red shell, so that had become a panel donor for this 1, already removed the front panel from the red 1, just need to tidy it up, and begin to take the 1 of the beige 1 to swap it in ;) it also donated a passenger wing, just gotta source a good 2nd hand drivers wing lol

Gonna sort out removing the front panel later in preperation for the new/2nd hand front panel, hopefully have it welded on by the weekend ;)

Gonna be awsome when its finished, tried a new coil on it tonight, but battery was fully dead, got a charged one, but it was too big to fit, n couldnt for the life of me find my jump leads, so gonna have to find em tomorrow and see if it'll start (no spark when i last tried, coil was solid, think its dried up lol)
