Brilliant! Well done. Can't believe you even got to the event let alone get a class win. Liking the photos too!
Cheers.....got more photos on the way from the bloke in the red jacket in the forestry photo.

Thankyou. Gotta be in it to win it and I hate giving up....plus it helps if you are tight with money like me, as if you've paid for an event you'll do you best to make it and finish! The balls up earlier on in the year was out of my control and happened on the day so couldn't do owt to fix it in time.

Sheep....!!! The nemesis of many a Welsh rally car!! (don't recall seeing may of them in the forests though - Epynt's a different matter!)
Excellent pic, looks like a great 'stage'!! These events do look really good fun!
Photo was taken by my old man and the SHEEP is a code board we had to stop and write down....also to slow us down before the next corner. It was about 200m from here that my tie bar nut popped off!!!!
I can't stress enough how fun this event was and a massive part of that is due to the hard work from the organisers...aswell as the awesome lanes and forestry we have up here in north wales.....best rally area in the country....I sense a rally argument looming!!!! ha ha

Dave, I'm sure you've said before, but are those 12 inch wheels you run?

Got a photo disc through today and going to share a few of the images now, and trickle them in the the thread over the next week or so to keep you interested.
These photo's are credited to tonylarge.net and I have permission to share with you lucky peeps...they are crackers!!! Check out his website for some truely impressive shots.
First 2 are of the first test, a short little one in a carpark........
Next one is actually part of a regularity section with part of it going through a forest. Cracking photo and the resverse angle from one of the previous photos taken by an old school mate....he's the one on the left of the photo.
I was going to save the next photo until later, but is too interesting to wait. This is parked on someones garden and we used their drive, bit past their front door and gravel 'tradesmans exit' lane as a test!!!!!

Never been...isn't it just a tarmac army training ground?
Dave, I'm sure you've said before, but are those 12 inch wheels you run?
Yes. Standard rover 4.5 x 12 alloys bought off ebay for £45 for a set of 5 with decent (but very budget) tyres that i ran for my first two rallies!!!!! Proper ditch finders but cheap and still going strong. 4.5 x 12's seem to be the best size for these tyres although i do have a 5" wide set of minators tucked away too. Chosen to go with 12's as they offer a bit more ground clearance and I don't like the look of the gravel tyres that are available in 10", whereas the 12" maxsport (although i've had issues with them) tread look like they mean business and do work....when not exploding! Another reason to go with the standard rover 12's is they are cheap and loads available....or you could go out and buy genuine minilites...chaaaa chingggg££££!

Epynt is indeed a tarmac army training ground, but with mile after mile of superb, smooth, demanding, dangerous and testing roads - they really are undoubtebly the best tarmac stages in Wales! I'm not sure if the Gremlin road rally still uses Epynt, I did it once when it did & it was fantastic! Can't unfortunately afford to do stage events on there so have to make do with the hillclimb now!
Ta for the info on the wheels. We have a set of 5x 12 Supalites (I think they are) with A539's on, but we haven't actually tried them in anger as my son thinks they look 'weedy' compared to the 6x13's...!! I think yours really suit the car though! I really like the look of 10's on roundnoses, but don't think they suit Clubby's so well. And we couldn't use them without changing the brakes anyway. I don't think I could justify Minilites for hillclimbs...!!

Get the 12's on...will give you much better handling...13's are just no good in my opinion and are purely for looks. 10's grip really well but i agree they don't look quite right on a clubby....but competition cars are more about function than form.
