Nice one well done. Apparently a guy called McRae started off in amino in auto test! So no pressure going forward.
My father ain't a national rally champion though, so i doubt i'll ever be a McRae....started too late for starters. To be successful you need heaps of cash...or rich family....or just pure luck sometimes....but mostly money, which is a shame. Thats kinda why i like road rallying.....can be done on a very small budget! My step father has just bought his latest road rally car....Proton Compact 1500 for £200!!!!!! And he won't be buying any expensive bits to go on it either and he will have class wins!!!!!

Fraid the colour is going back to standard Aqua at some point. Is a good colour but i like bright colours on 70's cars.

That'll be nice! I really like the colour he is now, but Aqua is a superb colour (have you seen the 'works' Clubbie in Aqua in this month's Mini mag - lovely jubbly!!)

Apparently it's the oldest surviving production 1275GT! The owner says in the article that he resprayed it the wrong shade of Aqua (too light apparently) but I think it looks stunning! If ours ever gets resprayed it'll be in that colour!

I thought it looked a bit light, but i figured it was the light on the photo. Looks more surf blue to me. Aqua is more greeny too....really nice colour though. If you google mini Clubman Aqua, there is a photo of one in a spray booth with a dark grey roof....looks very tasty!!!!

Yes, sorry I was posting from memory last night - always a mistake! I re-read the article later & found I'd got the colours reversed in my head! My eyes see the colour he's painted it as being a light turquoise, Surf Blue I think lacks the green tint (but I like surf blue too!) I googled for the one with the grey roof - are you sure it's not black, as that seems to be a popular combination?? It does look very good, but being awkward I'm not sure if I'd prefer white...!! But it would save you having your roof resprayed!
That google search also brings up a good looking grey Clubman being driven up the side of a grassy hill...!!
I guess you've seen this thread on here?;

It is a lovely colour. I really must resist the temptation to make plans to get ours resprayed - we need to get it running again first!!
