I can't see any 10" tyres on the Max Sport web-site - what's a poor man to do?

For those of you who missed the result in the motorsport section, theTour of Cheshire went very well.
We finished 49th overall and 1st in class and 1st beginners......really happy with the result considering we are (were) complete beginners!
Will post some pic's of some of the prep i did over the weekend when the light is right for some nice pic's, but for the time being, here's my favourite photo from the rally.
love this picture.

Bit more tyre info , I need a bigger wallet!
http://www.roelandsr...and_12_inch.htm
Shame about the silly prices on those really as the tread pattern looks very handy and perfect for rallying.
But i have to say after 'testing' my new Maxsport RB1's i'm very impressed with the grip they offer.....both on snow and on tarmac. I've not 'pushed' them as i didn't want to end up stuck in a drift or upside down in a field, but my initial thoughts are very good. I wish i knew what compound they are though....all they've got is a '60' on the sidewall???
And yes we are pretty hard done by with tyre choice....but mini's are such a specialist size that it's just not economical for tyre manufacturers to produce our small sizes.......I do wish there were some more options though.

Hush your mouth!! Lol
You will find the tyres "roll" on the sidewalls. I run them with 28-30psi depending on conditions but as you can see from the pic below they still move when pushed !

Firstly....No way.....and secondly.....NO WAY! Ha Ha Ha
When this car was first restored it was on 13's and the handling was shocking, following any rut or groove down roads...it was horrible!! Then when i actually came to buy the car from the owner Tim (big up to Tim....cheers for the awesome deal!) had it on 10's and the car was transformed.....more grip, better ride comfort and more grip.....did i mention more grip?
So what did i do.....put it on skinny 12's!!!!!! I'm such a Dumb ass.
Reason.....loads of cheap 12" minilight style alloys and i now like Maxsport RB1's in 145/70 12's.....oh and you get better ride height and more space round brakes for cooling....and less (unless you're minisi) tyre side wall flex.
Are they 12's or 13's Si?

I probably haven't had chance to drive ours enough yet, but have to admit that it hasn't shown much of those tendencies so far. I wonder if tyres or suspension set up may make much of a difference? We're running Yoko A539's & I have to admit I thought the car handled brilliantly compared to the stodge mobiles (even though the Focus isn't bad for a 'family' car) I've had to drive over the past 10 years or so. And it will run rings around my Ibiza Cupra that has lowered adjustable suspension - but 10 year old cardboard tyres on the front....!!
It's been 30 or more years since I drove a Mini on 10's so I don't really have any reference to compare though...!!

Some people love 10's, some 12's and some 13's....and some fools fit 14's or even 15's!!!!! Its all about personnal preference at the end of the day.
I did read somewhere that the best size was 5 x 12" with 165/60 12's as it gives the best of both worlds.....tyre width of a 10 but without the sidewall flex. But again i can't fit them for historic stuff as we can't use less than 70 profile tyres...hense why i use 145/70 12's...but also have 10's waiting in the wings.
