I've been testing out my 50mm lens. It creates great looking background blur due to the low aperture f/ number, it also lets in a lot more light which is very good.

Awesome!.. I've most likely asked you this before (on this thread too poss, can't remember and too lazy to skim through again lol) but what camera set up are you using dude? I'm looking at upgrading my Canon 400d for a Nikon. This looks perfect by the way. Looks like you took the shot at near dusk right?

 

Cheers man! Yeah, I shot this around 15:30ish... My set up is a Canon 600d w/50mm f/1.8 lens. Shot at 800 ISO, about -1 exposure. I've heard the Nikon D700 is a pretty good DSLR, but I can definitely recommend any of the later Canon series DSLR's, great pieces of kit.

I think Im pretty poop at taking photos but decided to mess about with the zoom and aperture and partial colouring on my SLR. Dont have the 13 alleycats on now though haha

Thanks buddy. Funny you mention the D700, as that's the one I've been looking at haha. Wicked, I'm more familiar with the Canons so I may have to trawl ebay now lol

I'm surprised you didn't put a hole in the side, an slr certainly does pack a punch

Hello =) Ive got 10 inch mambas on now....10 times better. The alleycats are a bit too OTT for me =)

Thanks! Yeah i use photoshop to adjust light levels and vibrance
