We'll I went fishing today as I needed a break from the car, any way got back and my new starter motor had arrived so I set about getting it fitted when I got back, so with that fitted battery with a fresh charge I cranked the car over and it's helped loads, although no such luck to get it to fire so I checked sparks and they were there, and firring in the right order. So I checked fuel, and that was there but it didn't seem to want to go from the carb to the engine, tuch it off and had a play and fitted it again and we'll, we had a bluter and then it burst into life and then died as I wasn't quick enough to grab the throttle on the carb. But I'm very happy, it's fired up, so tomorrow is throttle cable so I can see if I can get it running a lot better :)

Right I'll have to make a YouTube account for that but I'll get it all done tomorrow.

Yeah I've got everything now to finish it off it's just silly things like wirring engine fine tuning and bleed brakes really

I have been working on this, I've just been slack, it's prity much there I just have to get the hazard switch working and bolt the seat down, there's hardly any jobs but I've lost interest

Good bet I'll finish it and sell it I think

We'll riv run is almost here, car is obviously no we're near ready ahaha.

Job wise this is what's left:

Bleed brakes
Bolt seat down
Fit steering wheel
Wire hazards
Wire reverse
Wheel tracking
Engine needs setting up still
Washer bottle needs fitting
Interia light needs fitting
And the a general walk round grease joints up and check bolts, and it can go for an mot
It's a couple of days work really

We'll the pictures are late but it's a pain to upload them and I've been busy but here they are











I havnt taken any of the interia as when I was talking pictures it was a mess as the dash was pulled out while I tried to wire in a hazard switch on a mk1 loom, if any one plans on doing it in the future don't , it's been a pain in the bottom.
But that's it all wirring is done and finished everything has been checked and checked again.

I thought I was gonna have to go and have my engine set up as I couldn't get it to run, when I went to find out prices and they were like £100 + vat an hour! I went home and rebuilt the weber myself with a you tube guide ;) got it all built up and used how to guides to home brew tune it, and she runs little rough, and I still need to play with the dizzy a bit, but it's fast enough to tourque steer up my drive, so that will do for the mot man.
Just waiting on passenger harness before it goes of to the mot man

I have thought about selling it when it's up and running

Right I'm stuck between a hard place, I've just been told that I'm prity much at sea now for the next 7-8 months, and I know I can get the mini mot'd before I go, but to have it sitting there doing nothing I think is a bit ofa shame, so I'm going to finish it off mot the car and put it up for sale, so some one can get the enjoyment out of using it, as I'm not going to get the enjoyment out off it

Couldn't you lend it to someone for a small fee to use it in the time being ? Aslong as you don't need the money theres no point iin selling this Danny, you've put soo much into it

I don't need the money but I've just lost my garage were it's been stored, so it's back outside under a car cover again,

So if any has a workshop it can sit covered up shout up or if any one wants it when it's mot'd
